`.... To anyone familiar with symbols in sacred architecture and design, the difference between the two is obvious. To anyone familiar with the message of Sri Aurobindo and its Vedic con-tent, the difference is equally clear, as is the reason why the Mother insisted on TRANSLUCENCY not transparency. One presents the symbol of Vedic FULLNESS, the other is EMPTINESS. In this way, all the changes introduced have a bearing on the message and lifelong work of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo. They falsify that message. Many are disturbed by this deception.
There are two problems we face: one is deception, and two is the impact the changes have on the atmosphere. If nothing more subtle and arcane were considered, this deception at the heart of the township cannot engender the quality of consciousness the Mother envisioned for her township.'

In deed, it was revealed that the Mother 's original plan was worthy of the highest heights of Vedic drishti and shruti. nothing like it had appeared on this Earth since the time of the Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt, and perhaps the early Vedic constructions, (vedi). Sacred geometry lay at the heart of the vision a d very precise measurements the Mother gave in her original plan. Indeed, it had to be 'precise, otherwise this phenomenal vision could not reveal the `sense' that she knew it to contain.'
The Chronicles of the Inner Chamber arc a series of documents written by Thea from January 2003 through March 2004 in her role as Convenor of the Matrimaneiir Action Committee. Thea was living in Pondicherry, at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, during the early years while construction of thc Mother's Temple was just beginning; she kept diaries and letters of her numerous meetings with architects and administrators in her attempt to have the Chamber of the Mother's Temple built according to the Mother's exact vision.
As the same time she was being initiated by the Mother into the world of higher knowledge, unknown to her and to the world until that time. She realized that the Mother's vision of her Inner Chamber was unfolding and being imprinted into the Earth through its Divine Messengers of This Age. She saw India as the Centre of the emerging Age in which we live and the extraordinary potential that existed within the womb of the Divine Mother, who had become incarnate upon Earth. She wrote: ''Every Age has a Centre - its 0 - an area on the globe which must serve as the generator, the receiver of forces and the expeller of new transmuted energies. Such a centre therefore must reflect in the most precise way the truth of the Age to which it owes its being...
(It) must be a point on the Earth that will be a cauldron of a sort, wherein the particular new aspect of Consciousness of this Manifestation must be 'brewed'...
A centre of the Aquarian Age must be therefore the seat of the widest, deepest, highest understanding of the Divine Creation that has yet to manifest on Earth.
It must be the cradle of a new consciousness which reveals an entirely new body of ,knowledge.
This is the Age of the victory, of Knowledge, such a centre must offer the Earth the way to this victory; its very being must reveal the reality of this victory; its very being is the indication that the time has come for the fulfilment on Earth of all that the planet has been promised in the way of its dretiny.'''
In January 2003 when Thea began to write the Chronicles she was living at the Centre she had established near Kodaikanal, India - Aeon Centre of Cosmology - which Was both a base for her research and a laboratory for students who wished to live the Integral and Supramental Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother! There were numerous people throughout the world who saw, along with Thea, that the Temple in Auroville was not the Mother's original vision but what Thea called a 'shadow temple'. They joined with her to form the Matrimandir Action Committee. As each Chronicle was written, it was sent out to students and friends via the website, www.matacom.com.
Although the Chamber of the Mother's Temple W. The Mother's greatest legacy, Thea said it found no place in her achievements and she set out to correct that oversight - it became her lifetime work. While the Auroville temple was being built in cement and steel, Thea built the true and original Temple - step by step, in consciousness. She documented the process in three volumes of The New Way, A study in the rise and establishment of a gnostic society, so that the aspirant of this 'new age of victory of knowledge' could live the process also, could become the Temple. Thea passed on 9 October 2016; she was cremated two days later, on 11 October, the very day in Tamil Nadu when The Tenth Day of Victory (Vijayadashmi) was being celebrated. Her stirring words in these Chronicles remain alive. Each Chronicle is a tribute to her capaciry to SEE. In the final analysis she assists us also to sec that the most important part of the Mother's vision of her Temple is MEASURE
